What is a Tooth Filling?

A tooth filling is a dental procedure used to repair minor tooth damage or decay. When a tooth gets a cavity (hole caused by decay), a filling is used to restore its shape, function, and strength while preventing further damage. At DAMSEL Dental & Aesthetic Clinic, we use high-quality, tooth-colored materials to ensure your filling blends naturally with your smile.

Treatment Process

Examination & X-ray (if needed)

The dentist checks the tooth for cavities and determines the extent of decay.

Decay Removal

The damaged or decayed portion of the tooth is carefully removed using dental instruments.

Tooth Cleaning

The cavity is cleaned and disinfected to prevent bacteria buildup.

Filling Placement

A dental filling material (usually composite resin) is placed into the cavity and shaped to match your natural tooth.

Polishing & Bite Check

The filling is polished and adjusted for a comfortable bite.
